SBY: No Conflict between Sultan and I

SBY PRESIDENCY

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono conveyed his message on media reports over a controversy involving himself on a draft bill of Yogyakarta's special status. The message was expressed when he opened an awards inauguration on food stability to governors, mayors, regents, at the State Palace, in Jakarta, on Friday.

SBY blamed media for the provoking reports as if there were a conflict between the president and the Governor of DIY Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X. Sultan was at the palace to accept the award for his service to improve food stability.

"No conflict found between Sultan and I, why should it be made up," said the president smiling at Sultan sitting in the first row. Sultan just smiled back.

"I respect Sultan and the other way around. But the provoking issues keep coming up. Well, we have to be patient, Sultan," asked the president.
