SBY PRESIDENCY
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono here Monday officially opened a national congress of public prosecutors.The opening ceremony was held at the State Palace and attended by among others Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, National Police Chief Timur Pradopo and Chief of the State Intelligent Agency (BIN) Sutanto.
The annual congress being held from December 13 to 15, 2010, was being participated in by heads of the high prosecutor’s offices and their assistants from Indonesian provinces, and overseas offices.
During the congress, the participants are expected to evaluate the performance of prosecutors during the past one year and discuss the legal development trend prevailing in the public.
Attorney General Basrief Arief in his report said the congress 2010’s agenda were the optimalization of prosecutors’ works, bureaucratic reform, the procedure operational standard, the regaining of the public trust, the future challenges and obstacles.
